The Sorted difference

Protection, built into every bubble.

Both have 10 mm bubbles. What matters is whether those bubbles keep their air and cushioning through the journey. See the difference.

What does GSM mean?

GSM stands for grams per square metre. It is the weight of a 1 m × 1 m sheet of bubble wrap. A higher GSM means more material in that area.

Why does a low GSM matter?

With similar materials and bubble size, a lower GSM usually means thinner film that can be easier to puncture or tear. If a bubble loses air, it loses cushioning. Film quality and seals also matter.

45+ GSM

Watch what happens when cushioning is lost.

Animation shows the effect of air loss, not a measured product test. Real performance depends on the film, seals and packing conditions.

Material matters.

Sorted

45+ GSM premium LLDPE blend. More material per square metre than the cheap generic example, with a substantial film for everyday packing and fragile items.

Cheap generic

This 25–30 GSM example has less material per square metre. With comparable materials and bubble size, thinner film can be easier to puncture or tear during handling.

Air Lock technology.

Sorted

Sealed bubbles help reduce air loss, keeping the air inside where it provides cushioning.

Cheap generic

If air escapes through weaker film or seals, the bubble loses its volume and its ability to cushion.

Cushioning that lasts.

Sorted

Designed to maintain bounce and shock-absorbing cushioning through repeated handling and longer journeys.

Cheap generic

A deflated bubble stays flat after pressure is released, leaving less cushioning for the next impact.

Which bubble wrap should I choose?

For smaller packing jobs, our 500 mm-wide coreless bubble wrap comes in 5 m and 10 m lengths. For larger jobs, compare the widths and lengths in our Clear Bubble Wrap Rolls range. Check the dimensions on each product page before ordering.

Is your bubble wrap Australian made?

Yes. The products in our Bubble Wrap collection are Australian made. This applies to bubble wrap specifically, rather than our full range of packaging supplies.

How do I check delivery for my order?

Visit our delivery information page before ordering. For bulky items or larger quantities, send us your products, quantities and postcode through the bulk-order form so we can help with delivery arrangements.

Can I order larger quantities for my business?

Yes. Use our bulk-order form to tell us which products you need, the quantities and your delivery postcode. It is a quote request, so no payment is required when you submit it.
